Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka, Arun Hemachandra, met with the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security of Tรผrkiye, Prof. Dr Lutfihak Alpkan, in Ankara on 27 October 2026.
The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of employment, including potential sector-specific and seasonal employment arrangements for Sri Lankan workers in Tรผrkiye.
The meeting underscored Sri Lanka's interest in establishing practical avenues for labour cooperation while ensuring safe, orderly and mutually beneficial employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in Tรผrkiye.
