Unawatuna is famous for its beautiful crescent-shaped golden beach, lined with palm trees and clear turquoise waters, making it one of Sri Lanka's most popular beach destinations.

Sigiriya is a magnificent 5th-century rock fortress built by King King Kashyapa I. It is one of Sri Lanka's most iconic historical landmarks. 

Sigiriya was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 for its outstanding archaeological and cultural significance.

The Nine Arch Bridge is one of Sri Lanka's most famous landmarks. Built in the early 20th century, it is constructed mainly of stone, brick, and cement, with very little steel.

Bentota Beach is renowned for its long stretch of soft golden sand, clear blue waters, and relaxing tropical atmosphere. 

It is one of Sri Lanka's best destinations for water sports, including jet skiing, windsurfing, banana boat rides, kayaking, and parasailing.

The Sri Lankan elephant is the largest subspecies of the Asian elephant and is found only in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations with Türkiye in 1948, perhaps Türkiye was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Sri Lanka then Ceylon and established resident Mission in Ankara in 2012. As the two countries enjoy longstanding historical relations, Türkiye is important for Sri Lanka’s bilateral relations. Türkiye’s strategic geographical location gives wide range of opportunities in the political, economic, cultural and science and technology sectors. Türkiye’s political hierarchy treat Sri Lanka as a friendly country and has supported Sri Lanka in multilateral and bilateral international forums. Further, Embassy of Sri Lanka in Türkiye has accredited to Georgia and Ukraine.
